Our Mission
Build a fully customized e-commerce site that integrates with Shopify
To provide clarity, when we mention a fully custom website, we are referring to a platform that does not rely on pre-existing theme builders such as Wix, Wordpress, or Shopify.
In the case of My Pool Hut, meticulous attention was given to its development using the Angular framework, ensuring a tailored and unique digital presence that stands distinct from Shopify. Employing the Shopify Storefront API, we seamlessly integrated the website with Shopify, facilitating essential functions like payment processing and inventory management. This strategic synergy empowers the My Pool Hut team to exercise effortless control over their product offerings, pricing structures, and inventory updates, all conveniently orchestrated through the Shopify admin interface. This strategic approach liberates them from the constraints of standardized Shopify templates, enabling a wholly individualized and superior digital experience.

How it Works
Custom front-end connected to the Shopify back-end
The website was built using the latest Angular framework. Angular was chosen as it is a secure, reliable, and enterprise ready framework. We wanted to make sure the site was extrememly fast and responsive, while allowing complete customizability without being constrained to a theme builder like Wordpress. From the ground up SEO was a top priority, and we made sure to follow all of Google's best practices to ensure the site would rank well in search engines. This includes hosting the site on Google Cloud to provide a fast and secure experience for users.
The website communicates directly to the Shopify backend using their provided APIs. This allows the My Pool Hut team to manage their products, inventory, and orders directly from the Shopify admin interface, while seeing their updates occur live on the My Pool Hut website. We also utilized a headless CMS to let the My Pool Hut marketing team manage the content on the site without having to touch any code. The benefit of a headless CMS is that the images and text can be modified live on the site without having to redeploy it!

The Design
Easy to use across devices with a focus on conversion
My Pool Hut's website was built mobile first, and designed to be responsive across all devices. The site's intuitive interface and streamlined navigation make it easy for customers to find the product they are looking for. We chose to use large rounded buttons to help users identify and easily select call-to-action targets. The website also follows a unique color palette that resonates the brand of My Pool Hut. The vibrant color scheme helps users identify that this website sells pool and spa products.
In addition to the design, we structured the layout of the site to be extrememly simple and fast. Users can get to any webpage on the site in under three clicks from the homepage. The site was built to be fast on load times, and we used a CDN to ensure that the site loads quickly for users across the globe.

The Results
Thousands of customers and growing fast
My Pool Hut launched their e-commerce store in early 2023. Already, they have several thousands of customers and are on track to surpass their sales goals for the year. The site’s success is a testament to the power of a fully customized website that is tailored to the unique needs of the business.
